In addition to having a dedicated technician, each surgical patient is placed on a surgical monitor, IV fluids, and has their own personal warming device.

Allergies and other skin issues can be incredibly frustrating and upsetting for pets and owners.  Allergies in our pets can typically be broken into three categories – environmental, food, and flea allergy. In most cases, these allergies will result in skin conditions, though not all skin conditions are from allergies. 

Diagnostics are an important aspect of veterinary medicine. At Tavares Animal Hospital, we use diagnostic testing to help determine if your pet has a hidden health condition that needs attention. Some of the veterinary diagnostic tools we use include our in-house laboratory, x-rays, and ultrasound.

During our regular business hours we are equipped to handle urgent and emergency care.  Please call ahead if your pet is experiencing an emergency so we can be sure we are able to see your pet at that time.  Common emergencies may include respiratory distress, difficulty urinating, hit by car, or dog fight wounds.  We can often complete emergency surgeries the same day such as foreign body removals, splenectomy, wound repair and more.
