Dr. Rick (Rubenstein) is almost a lifetime Floridian. He was born in New Jersey and his family moved to central Florida in 1971 when he was twelve years old. He went to Oviedo High School where he met his wife, Terry, in the 8^th grade. Together they have three wonderful children and two beautiful grandchildren. He finished his undergrad at UCF and graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. “Go Gators”. He owned and ran two hospitals in the past thirty years and recently semi-retired at the end of 2024. When he’s not hanging with his wife or chasing his grandchildren, he loves biking, working out and has been an avid runner for over fifty years, participating in hundreds of road races. He is very honored and grateful to be a part of the Tavares Animal Hospital family.
